The solution ensures archiving of e-mails that meet legal obligations and saves IT administrators time when searching and restoring e-mails
PRAGUE, May 26, 2022 – GFI Software, a provider of security and management solutions for enterprise networks, said the Hradec Králové Library of Studies and Sciences (SVKHK) is using GFI Archiver to archive email and meet legal requirements. The library uses the product under the GFI Unlimited licensing model.
GFI Archiver is installed with a license for 150 mailboxes and provides e-mail archiving for library staff and other virtual users. Approximately 10,000 emails and 1 GB of data are stored in the archive each week, with 106 GB of data currently stored. The main reason for deploying GFI Archiver was to meet legal obligations arising from potential audit requirements, however the archive is also used to quickly recover emails in the event of loss or deletion by a user.
“GFI Archiver is a product with a very good price/performance ratio that exactly meets the needs of our type of organization,” said Petr Sklenář, IT administrator at SVKHK. But most of all, GFI Archiver ensures that the archived emails are in the exact state they came or went from our mail server.”
The Hradec Králové Library of Studies and Sciences (SVKHK) is a public universal library, which is part of the library system that carries out coordination, professional, information, educational, analytical, research, methodological and advisory activities. The library employs about 90 staff members who serve about 9,500 registered readers. Approximately 170 000 visitors visit the library annually. The computer network has about 200 personal computers in operation, of which about half are for public use. The Library has long cooperated with GFI Software in the area of IT security, having historically used or is using the GFI MailEssentials, GFI WebMonitor and GFI EventsManager systems.
